how was your sunday, dear readers? we had a really good day.

0830: hearty breakfast

1145: tommie on the top of the world, okay that's my belly.

1200: he was still sitting on my belly, gave a smug look.

1410: we watched Le Ballon Rouge, a short French film.

1811: dinner's ready.

1815: see, we do eat those loveletters biscuits, cream collon and pocky.

1821: loveletter biscuit as cigar.

1832: this was good.

1858: cookie and cream ice cream

simple thing

S and i fell in love with this little thing many years ago. you probably would have notice we like things in white color, that includes this little gadget. we finally walked into a Muji store and bought it weeks ago. it's a simple wall-mounted cd player. i love the ingenious power cord - you just have to pull it gently to turn the player on and off.

the lost dress

this dress... i meant to buy this dress on etsy over the weekend.

i fell asleep and woke up a few hours later, it was sold! i'm not sure why i haven't gotten over dress. maybe because i had a similar vintage piece that i adored and it was lost during a move. so i am hoping one day, just one day this dress will pop up somewhere for sale again.

lunar new year dinner

S and i invited a few close friends over for dinner yesterday.

we love cozy dinners like these, with lotsa laughter and fun.

roasted pork slices + carrots. we also had yu sheng, cream fish chowder and buttered french beans & corns. dessert was old time favorite - root beer float.

we had wines to end the day.

back at my in laws's for reunion dinner. Wore sretsis blouse and a pair of black pants.

i wore this vintage smocked dress with ribbon trim.

also wore these les bijoux de sophie castle locket earrings.

i changed into nadinoo mini pixie dress before the dinner party.

Really excited about today's early Chinese New Year reunion dinner. although i really should stay at home and rest (i've been ill for the past week), but happy just to think that i will get to meet some relatives we haven't met for ages! i decided to wear a Rachel Gilbert paige bow top with a pair of old washed jeans. I'm also wearing a grey x white cotton jacket from i will steal your thunder and a Matina Amanita cat brooch.
